President Abraham Lincoln reading to his son Tad (a nickname given to him by his father - his full name was Thomas Lincoln). Tad was the youngest of the four Lincoln children.

Tad never went to school (from descriptions of his behavior, we may have called him hyperactive today) and also had a cleft palate. He died at age 18 (in 1871)of CHF. Two brothers survived him.

Daniel Pinna Tad Lincoln did die in 1871. However, he was only survived by ONE brother, Robert Todd Lincoln. His other two brothers died before him.
