Loamland Plantation House, Located in Tensas Parish Louisiana. One of the only photos I know of that shows the house in it's original condition.

Mystery: Does anyone know the history of this house? There are very few record of it.

Tharen Vass I found this on-line:
"June Lioret
Date: 2000-08-25
Earliest known ancestor Aaron Register
They were from North Carolina
Born about 1810
My Tensas Parish connection is my great-grandfather, John W. Register, who was sheriff during 1876-78, and was the son of the above-mentioned Aaron Register. John W. Register was born in 1842, died Oct. 17, 1901, and is buried in what I believe is called the "Old" Natchez (Miss.) Cemetery, which overlooks the Mississippi River north of the bridge. John W. Register owned a plantation on the Tensas River north of Clayton, La., called Loamland. By an amusing twist, I live in Clayton, North Carolina."
