Majorie 18 months old traveled the Lusitania as 2nd class with her mother Charlotte. The two were having lunch in the 2nd class dining area when the torpedo struck. Charlotte struggled on decks carrying her baby until a man offered them a lifejacket and put them in the lifeboat. The lifeboat overturned and Majorie gave a terrible scream which caused Charlotte and Majorie to be underwater. When the ship was going down, the suction caused them to be separated. Charlotte somehow survived the experience, but suffered the loss of her baby. Majorie's body was found and buried next to an unidentifed baby girl.
