Mari Kolbjornsdatter Livdalen Gulsvig was born April 20, 1833 in Flaa, Buskerud, Norway.In 1869 she homsteaded, four miles north of what is now Brooten, MN, with her husband,Peter(Per)Thompson. This photo was taken either late in the 1800's or early in the 1900's.
