Martha Carey Thomas
Martha Carey Thomas (born January 2nd, 1857, died December 2nd, 1935) is considered a pioneer in women's education.
In 1884, Carey Thomas was the dean and English chair at Bryn Mawr College for women, and President by 1894. She went on to become active in various groups such as the National College Women's Equal Suffrage League, and the National Woman's Party which were all aimed at equal rights for women.
