The Mystery

I'm not sure who Mary Frances McConnell was. I found the picture in a photo album that belonged to my grandparents, Claud and Virginia Rhodes Waldrop. They were both from Greenville, South Carolina and and based on the style of clothing in the picture, I'm assuming that's where they knew her. My grandfather lived near American Spinning and my grandmother lived in Sans Souci.

My husband may very well have some idea of who this lady is related to. He was raised in Greenville, although he is younger. There were members of his family who were employed at American Spinning, and he lived in the Sans Souci area for 18 years. His parents were from that area for their entire lives. I have a Frances McConnell from Anderson County who married a Breazeale; however, she would have been much older than this lady. I will certainly check on it for you.

This picture is of my Aunt Cute. Her married name is Hickam. Her daughter, Ann Hickam Bazinet lives in Anderson, SC. Her parents were SN McConnell and Felicia Browning McConnell. What a surprise to see her beautiful face on this page!
