Photo Details

Handwritten on back:
"Mrs. Crockett"
The only female 'Crockett' I could find in 1900 in Oakland was a Sarah Crockett, born 1847 in Missouri, widowed at the time of the census. Possibly the same woman as "Mrs. Crockett", but I can't be 100% sure.
Photo found in an antique shop in Clovis, Ca. I am not related to the subject in the photo.

Gabby Smith This may be Caroline Crockett nee Mills (1850-1921) wife of Joseph Bryant Crockett who was the son of a Supreme Court Judge Joseph Bryant Crockett. They both had wives named Caroline. The Crocketts lived in Alameda county had a town named after them called Crockett, CA. It is the old HQ of C&H Sugar Co.
