This is one of a set of 3 postcards (which appear to be written in Italian?) that feature the same Husband, wife and daughter over a span of time in the early 1900's. The progression seems to be 1-Happy Family, 2-Husband gets called to war, 3-Wife on her own with baby daughter!
Can anyone translate the Italian for me? It might provide clues. Be sure to check out all 3 shots.

Chris Hain Thanks to the brilliant italian-detective work of Jacque Tessadri McDonnell she was able to translate this card and remove some of its "Mystery Status". The card translates:
"hello grandpa and grandma, Thank you for the presents of the coats you gave us. To let them know her health is good and she is asking her grandpa for family photo."
