Nora and Ella Carpenter
The lady on the left is my grandmother, Nora Pearl Carpenter. On the right is her sister, Ella Mary Carpenter. Nora was born in 1900, and Ella was born in 1893. Both ladies lived to be in their 90's. Ella never married, but Nora married Granvil Jackson Delp in 1927, and they had four children: Barbara, Gerald, Madeline, and Emily (Betty). They grew up in the Pipers Gap area of Carroll County, Virginia.
