Searching for relatives on my birth mother's side, under name Irene Ellen Mäki, sometimes called Bridget. Latter married and laid to rest as Irene Ellen Adkison. My grandmother's name was Irene Mary Fuschi-Mäki was married to Arthur O. Mäki (my mother's dad was of Finnish decent). MY great grand mother's name was Mary Lovelino - Fuschi, married to Giovanni (Johnny) Fuschi, both came from Palermo, Sicilia. My great-great grandmother was Ersilia/Ursula Lovelino and had a sister named Jenny. Great grandma Mary & Great grandpa Johny both came through Ellis Island from Palermo, Sicilia and lived in Brooklyn and then moved to Franklyn Square on Long Island, N.Y.
My younger sister and I were adopted out when we were toddlers. It has taken me since the age of nine in 1979 till May of 2018 to find my grandmother's grave on line and then locate my grandmother's last living sibling, my great Aunt, Ellenora (Lee) Darby and my great Uncle Ray and Cousins. Leading me to finding more cousins, my great-grandmother's nieces and their children, grand children and great-great grand children of the Lavelino/Fuschi - Leahy families. And some other cousins, Fuschi - Boza families. And just this past September of 2019, I have finally found my dear mother's final resting place.
