Daniel Pinna Ah how cool! Thrashing machines, or "threshing machines" were invented by Scottish mechanical engineer Andrew Meikle in 1784. Thrashing machines were a revolutionary invention. These machines separated grain from stalks and husks as opposed to having to do so by hand.
