Pereira was his last name (I don´t know his first or his middle name) and he was the brother of this young lady: http://www.ancientfaces.com/research/photo/1250950/maria-pereira-1930s-brazil-family-photo, my great-grandmother, who lived in São Paulo.

Very interesting! My mother's maiden name was Pereira, but we're Portuguese. Judging from the other photo, this young man is Brazilian. Makes sense that Brazilians would inherit Portuguese surnames.
