Queen Mary of England
Queen Mary of England aka Bloody Mary, was born at Greenwich Palace to King Henry the VIII of England and Katherine of Aragon, the Spanish princess. She was the first child to survive infancy. She became queen after Lady Jane Grey was beheaded in 1554.
Mary was the most hated queen in British history. She burned Protestants and pregnant women at the stake. She married Prince Phillip II of Spain, which also made her unpopular. She failed to bare a child and died in 1558 aged 42. Her half-sister succeeded her.
