Rachel Mary Fielder
Rachel Mary Fielder Sep 1855 - abt. 1905. Rachel, the daughter of Charles Fielder and Mary Louisa McKay was born in Indian Point Township, Knox Co., IL. And died about 1905 in Washington Co., KS. The site of her burial is a mystery (some believe her to be buried in the Shoop Cemetery--next to her father Charles, two husbands and two of her babies.
Rachel married William Terry Singleton 12 Dec 1875 in Knox Co., IL. He was the son of James Albert Singleton and Hannah Runnels Arnold. William and Rachel had six children--Rose, James Albert, Lucinda L., Minnie B., Cora E. and Alvin.
After William's death in 1883 (31 Dec 1854 - 25 Feb 1883), Rachel married William Harrison Dodson, a widower with a son, on 11 Mar 1886 in Washington, Washington Co., KS. They had one daughter Maude born in Sep 1886. William passed away in 1891 (17 Apr 1845 - 27 Oct 1891). Rachel then married her son James Albert's father-in-law, Joshua Brazzle Jr. (1 Jan 1827 - 14 Feb 1931) in Pottawattie Co., KS between 1892 - 1900 (when they were on the 1900 census). Joshua and Rachel had one un-named male child.
(Interesting story--James Albert Singleton (Rachel & William's son) married Rhoda Bell Brazzle, daughter of Joshua Brazzle Jr.(Rachel's third husband) and Rachel Gano. When Rachel (Fielder) Singleton Dodson, married Joshua, that not only made Rachel Rhoda's mother-in-law but also her step-mother).
