The theme for the Bal Boheme in 1939 was 'Paris au Printemps' and Senator Theodore Green of Rhode Island gave out the prizes for most original (Hill), most amusing (Samuel Staples as a Paris Stevedore) and most beautiful (Marcia Evert and Parr Hanna).
