Winifred Frankum 10 months traveled on the Lusitania with her mother and father Joseph and two brothers Francis 7 and Frederick 4 as 3rd class. The family was preparing their luggage and drinking tea when the torpedo struck. Joseph fetched some lifejackets and placed his wife and three children in the lifeboat. Annie Frankum stepped off the lifeboat carrying Winifred and Frederick standing by her side. They were all lost during the disaster, their bodies were never recovered.
