Ronald Owens,10, and Reginald Owens, 8, of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, traveled 2nd class on the Lusitania with their mother Cecilia and their uncle Alfred and Elizabeth and cousins Helen (6 years) Hubert (6 months) from Wales. After the 2 boys played with Helen they went to their cabin and their last words were "We're playing on deck. Helen is with us. And it's such fun!" When the torpedo hit the 2 boys were lost during the disaster. Cecilia Owens and 6 year old Helen Smith survived the disaster. But Ronald and Reginald perished along with their aunt and uncle and 6 month old cousin. Their bodies were never recovered. ... show more

The Mystery

Ronald and Reginald might have been the boys playing with 2nd class passenger a British Canadian 10 year old boy Howard Tijou, while they were playing with Helen. Along with Howard they must've fallen off the ship when it was torpedoed.
