Samuel Kane, son of John Cain Jr. and Mary. Grandson of John Kain/Cain Sr. Twin brother of Joseph Kane/Cain. Born 1812 PA. Died 1877 Iowa. Married to Charlotte Albright Kane. Farmer, general store ownerin Hopeville, Iowa. Served as postmaster in Hopevelle for the years 1855 to 1858.
