Sons of Baron Lafayette Key
Sons of Baron Lafayette Key, #1 Dady, #2 Uncle Percy Key, #3 Uncle Colonel Key, #4 Uncle Tandy Key. Baron L. Key b. 4/10/1831 in Franklin, GA. There were also daughters: Sarah Elliotte b. 3/1862, Harriett b. 1866, & Elizabeth Betty b. 11/8/1869 GA.

My question is this, why would my father, John Wiley Williams, have this photo in his father's family album? I do find a connection on the ORR/Wylie side of my father's side, but nothing more closely related. Suggestions?
Date & Place: at oldphoto6 in Probably Miller Co., Arkansas United States

Regarding John Tandy Key: I'm doing research on
my family tree and John Waller Key married Martha
Tandy in Va. I'm a direct decendant thru that line. It would be very odd that his name so closely relates to the same names in my family
He must be a branch of the same Key family. Contact me if you would like to compare info.

My husband and I are retired and my hobbies are wood carving/wood working, genealogy, and most of all, searching for my grandfather's family.

My Grandmother was a Key. We are decendants of the Keys of England that came to America and settled in Va. Martin Key of Va., John Key and Martha Tandy Key also of Va. Their off-spring leading to Boley Franklin Key. There's a story of my G-G-G-Grandfather Boley Franklin Key who was born in Franklin Co., Ga. He left Ga., moved to Alabama, later on to Tn and never contacted any of his Ga. relatives again. He died in Tn.and is buried in the McGhee Cemetery at Jordan Springs, Tn. He was a Baptist Preacher in Stewart County, Tn and also lived in Jordan Springs Tn in Montgomery County, Tn.. We are supposed to be related to Francis Scott Key through relatives from England and I've always been told there is a Cherokee connection to the family. I need the Indian information if anyone has that.
