"The Air Ship" is a 1898 musical farce comedy written by J. M. Gaites about life in the future. This production was popular, with one review from the January 18th, 1899 Fort Wayne News describing "The Air Ship" as having "One of the most realistic stage scenes ever presented will be the flight of a real air ship with fifteen passengers on a Klondike expedition".
