The Honorable Charles Mortimer Bishop
Charles (4 Jan 1827-3 Feb 1902) was the son of Adam Bishop and wife Rebecca Carr Riley. This picture, facing p. 252, accompanies a biographical sketch about him in S. T. Wiley's HISTORY OF PRESTON COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA, first published in 1882.

I have more about Charles, his parents, his siblings, his two wives, his children, etc. on Rootsweb.com and Ancestry.com.

The Preston County Historical Society's Fall 2004 issue of "Now...And Long Ago", their newsletter, Number 21, Page 4, has pictures of the parents of Charles's first wife and mother of his children, Margaret Ellen Morris, i.e., Reuben Morris (1802-1885)and Margaret Trowbridge (1808-1869) together with a short biographical sketch.
