The Marion Morgan Dancers performed throughout the United States and specialized in interpretative dance often based on classical legends and antiquity.

California native, Marion Morgan was responsible for the fashion shows in the movie 'Fashions for Women' and the choreography in 'Ten Modern Commandments'. However, Marion's big claim to fame was for founding the Marion Morgan Dancers. Prior to beginning the Marion Morgan dancers, Morgan was a PE teacher at the Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles. In 1910, Marion began directing dance programs at the University of California Berkely, where her students would eventually become the initial dancers in her troupe. The Marion Morgan Dancers appeared on vaudeville stages from 1916 through the mid 1920s.
