The Wreck of Henry Wright Dunn's Car
Henry Wright Dunn was a prominent a successful business man in Conecuh County. He owned Evergreen Motor Car Company and was the local dealer for both Ford and Buick. During the influenza pandemic of 1918, Henry was driving out of town to pick up a nurse who was to stay with the family in case the illness struck in their home. Henry's car stalled and rolled backward into an oncoming L&N train. He died 2 days later of his injuries. This photo is reportedly of his wrecked car.
