Theatrical - Mabel Lamb
Mabel Lamb was born in Iowa Feb 9,1895 in Iowa. She was a daughter of William James Lamb and Lida Kelly. Mabel grew up in Stafford, Stafford County Kansas and was involved in the theatre in Chicago. This photo was taken March 12, 1946. It was given to her childhood friend Ethel Johnson, also from Stafford.

Mabel Lamb's father was William James Lamb and her mother was Lida Kelly, also known as Eliza E. Kelly. When Mabel was 15, she was living in Stafford, Kansas on Broadway Street with her father, William, 45, and her mother, then known as Eliza, 43. Also in the household were siblings Wilbur, Grace, Blanche, and John. Edward Blum, 25, a boarder, lived with them. Father William worked on his farm, which he owned, and brother Wilbur helped out on the farm. Sister Grace was a music teacher. Mabel Mary Lamb married Eddie Ray Brock in 1915 in Stafford Kansas. In 1946, Mary was involved in the theater in Chicago Illinois. In the 1958 City Directory for Monrovia. California, Mrs. Mabel Brock was living on Huntington Dr. She was married. Monrovia is about 25 miles outside of Los Angeles. Mabel died in Los Angeles and is buried there in Forest Lawn.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
