There are a man and a woman
standing in the doorway of this train car. Upon closer examination, I recognized my gggrandmother, Rhoda Lovelady Burns, & the only photo I have of my gggrandfather Thomas Clarance Burns. The Gandy Dancers was a name given the train crews
who rode those little pump cars....I think to check the rails for repair. They were called dancers because of the way they looked pumping up and down, up and down.If you were to enlarge the photo of the train car, just in front of it is a crew of gentlemen.
