I am grateful to Susan Carl who located and took the picture of this tombstone. James M. Michael (10 Feb 1830-13 July 1916)was born in Ohio, the son of Daniel R. Michael and Margaret Elizabeth Floyd. His siblings were William, b 1820 in VA; Paul, b 1822 in VA; David, b 1824 in VA; Sarah, b 1834, and Catherine, b 1838. James married twice. His first wife was the daughter of Daniel R. and Elizabeth McPeek, namely Catherine McPeek, whom he married in Nobel County, Ohio on 26 June 1851. She died 15 Feb 1859. His second wife was Sarah A Marks Michael (4 Feb 1842-14 July 1904) whom he married in Ohio on 20 November 1862. They moved to Missouri in 1865. James was a minister, dry goods store owner, postmaster, and farmer. He died in Wyandotte, Kansas. James and Sarah are buried in the Bonner Springs Cemetery, Bonner Springs, Wyandotte Co, Kansas.
