researching anything I can find on the name Dusek and Howard. I will share information with those who are interested. After 1870, both families resided in California, mostly Humboldt-Mendocino-Lake-and Sonoma Counties. My Brisbin, Wonch, Tompkins, Thompson, Wimer, Tower(s), Winters, Weatherall, Witherall came from the Collbran, Colorado area. Most all of them were cattle ranchers in the area during the 1800s. My gggrandfather James Brisbin wrote a book about cattle ranching there which caused a large migration to that area. Benjamin Kite Witherill discovered the Mesa Verde area.
