The soldier bears a very strong resemblance to one of my brothers. I had a great grandfather, and a great-great grandfather who fought in the civil war, and am wondering if this soldier might have been related. - Chirstine Gose

This picture resembles a lot of the Matteson men. They are from Vermont. Suggest it be sent to some genealogist in those lines. He could be related to US.
