Was there ever any response regarding this unknown man? I bought a frame with 3 photos at a flea market. There are three photos. One was taken by J. F. Summerlin, Photographer, on January 28, 1879 and I believe the same man is in my photo. This time with a woman. On one side of this photo is another of the same woman but alone in the photo taken by M. A. Gallup, Photographer, La Grange, Ind. On the other side is a photo of 2 children, a boy and a girl, taken by Hissong Photographer, La Grange, Indiana.
