Unknown Sailor - Schaffer/King NY/NJ/MD

Photo found in an old suitcase. Album has photos of Kings and Schaffers. Other names Cann, Gormley, Lanigan, Nichols, Meade, Shaffer, Shafer, Wilkins. NYC/NJ/MD

Can anyone recognize this soldier? He is wearing a hat that says USS Constellation. His uniform may be of some help in dating photo. This is a cabinet photo - circa 1850-1890. Other nanes include
