My grandparents on their wedding day. Houston Davis and Mamie Viola Lewis. Her parents were David T. Lewis and Mary M. Blessett. She was born 22 Juan 1890 in GA and he was born 03 Mar 1882 in MO. But their families immigrated to Texas. They met and married in a small town. As did many, they lived on a farm. One of his many duties was the making of molasses. He was considered the best molasses maker in the area and the most religious of men, some said he was a fanatic. If so, he died in church. ... show more
