This is the wedding photograph of my grandparents, Reuben and Maybelle Thompson Ballard. Maybelle was approximately 15 years old when she and Reuben were married. They loved and nurtured 14 children:Charlote,Ophelia,Wilkie,Fralow,Clyde,Albert,Falbia,Willievie,John,Carolyn,Robert (Happy Jack)Roy,Laura, and Edward and raised them on their farm in the Mount Olivet section of Henderson County, NC.

Date & Place: September 25, 1917 at Mount Olivet in Zirconia, North Carolina USA
