I believe that Samuel Ashworth Jr. was also a teacher of mathematics at Greenbriar College. Viv was kind enough to share these letters with me some years ago. Armistead Ashworth (1818-1910) was my great-great grandfather. Charles Vinson Ashworth was my great grandfather. When his mother died six days after he and his twin brother were born, he went to live with cousin Vinson. His twin, Robert Matthews Ashworth went to live with cousin Matthews.
