Deborah Sheffield My grandfather, A.G. Sheffield was an ironworker on the docks in Pennsacola during WWII and an Union man. He would later work on the addition to the FL state capital and Crystal River nuclear plant while also maintaining a farm in Shady Grove. All 5 of his siblings migrated to Washington DC thanks to Great-Aunt Arie who led the way north by becoming an assistant and secretary to a congressman. Each other sibling joined her and led successful lives and careers as a result. Although they made their adults lives in the big city of Washington DC, they never forgot home and returned often well into their elder years. Their birth and home place still stands in Shady Grove.
