William and Mary Russell in their older years in front of their home that William practically built himself. Home was located off of Highway 89 Jackson County, KY down over hill across from his son's home Luther Russell. The family ran a sawmill in that area. William is the son of John H. Russell and Mary Reid Russell. William's wife Mary was the daughter of Mitchell and Catherine Sparks Richardson. Still trying to find more information concerning John H. Russell's parents.
