William Rae Pinniger
William Rae Pinniger was the only child of William Wilkinson Boothroyd Pinniger and Audrey Rae. His grandfather, Charles James Wilkinson Pinniger and also Charles' brother Thomas Wilkinson Pinniger, both migrated to Australia about the early 1850's. Thomas and Charles were sons of Henry Pinniger, founder of the law firm Pinniger, Finch & Co. of Westbury, Wiltshire, England. William Rae Pinniger married Kathleen May Lumley 02 Sep 1925 in Melbourne. They had one daughter, Gillian Rae Pinniger, born 1929. William and Kathleen separated about 1935 but were never divorced. William had no contact with his wife or daughter after the separation. William died in 1958, aged 62. Kathleen died in 1974 at the age of 77. Gillian had attempted to establish her father's whereabouts during her life, but it was not until 2008 when she was almost 80, that she discovered he had died 50 years earlier. Gillian passed away in 2012, aged 82.
