Lee Aversente, Pieter, & myself. Lee & her husband Joe came up every summer. Her brother, George Alario, learned that the Coffee Shop at Sandy Beach Hotel was vacant. I introduced him to owner George Phillips & he ran the Coffee Shop for the next 12 years! Pieter called Lee his 'Aunt Flower,' as she taught Flower Arranging. He adopted the Alario's as 'Uncle George' & 'Aunt Iris.' He loved washing dishes, peeling potatoes, & cooking his own hamburgers. ... show more
