Date taken : October 1936 Description : April 5, 1936 a tornado hit Tupelo, MS killing 10% of its 3,000 citizens. My father's house was destroyed and the Red Cross rebuilt this house for them; they moved into the house in October after spending the preceeding months in a tent.
