My father Jesse Bain, d 9/11/1951. He learned the Blacksmith trade from my Grandfather, James Thompson Hackney, at McKees Crossroads,Woodford
County, Kentucky. Taken in his Midway Kentucky shop,
prob around the late 30's or early 40's.

I am 81 years old and well remember the old blacksmith shop I passed on my way to school. I can still hear the ringing sound as he pounded on the hot shoes to make them the right size.A trip down memory lane !
