He was born in Japan,educated at Osaka Med.College...degrees of B.S.& M.D. in 1907...took special courses at Harvard Med School, 1912-14, NY Med.School, 1923-25, & Cornell Univ.1927-28; served as intern at the Japanese Hosp., Ogden, Utah;was resident surgeon at same institution, research asst. at Bellvue Hosp.Med.College & at Cornell Med. College, & ship’s surgeon with the Oriental Steampship Co.
