Description : This is a picture of Howse River, which was named in honour of Joseph Howse, the fur trader, by David Thompson. Joseph was one of the first employee's of the Hudson's Bay Company in Canada. He came from Cirencester, England and became the patriarch of a very large family of Howse's. Howse River empties into the North Saskatchewan River just north of Banff, Alberta.
