1880s cdv of young woman sitting with book. From the Glover-Martin photo album. Has name "Grace Thomas" on back.
Mystery :
Who is this woman? The photo is number 50 in my Glover family album, and one of the few with a name on it - "Grace Thomas". I know of no Thomases in my family tree. The photographer is "Chuck, NEXT SAVINGS BANK BALLARAT (Gold medalist London)". On back is handwritten "3000 / Grace Thomas / Feby 85" The fashions and hairstyle are compatible with a mid-1880s date. A genealogical search uncovered a Grace Thomas born in the area in 1865.
