Description : Lt Colonel Charles Dazell Craigie-Halkett-Inglis of Cramond was born in 1931.
After graduating from the Royal Military Academy at Sandhust, England Charles joined the Scottish Highland Light Infantry. His extensive career is note in another photo posted to this site. In addition While serving in Northern Ireland Charrles was the Commanding Officer of the 3rd (County Down) Battalion of the Ulster Defense Regiment - now the Royal Irish Regiment.
He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and recipient of the M.B.E.
Charles is the author of "Hold Until Relieved" that was published in 2001 by Memoir Publishing, Chancel House, Neasden Lane, London NW102TU
In 2001 the Lord Lyon ruled that Charles, as the male heir, was entitled to call him self "of Cramond" but only if he re-assumed the triple-barreled surname of Craigie-Halkett-Inglis.
