Description :
Privite 1st Class Charles Henry Halkett was born in New York City.
He entered the Army service in WW1, after his older brother, and served in France.
He was a plumber by trade and worked on such important construction projects as the Empire State Building and the Holland Tunnel. Charles never married and lived with his mother and sister in Florham Park, New Jersey
