Madison's parents are William Hampton West and Mary Fannie Gilmore. Susan's parents are Frank Massey and Elizabeth M. Caraway.

Madison "Matt" A. West was born June 9,1887 in Texas. Susan N. Massey was born February 1894 in Texas and died June 21,1970. Madison and Susan were married October 11, 1892 in Gonzales County, Texas.
