Date taken : April 18, 1944 1944 Description : Pfc William Nutter Jr., was a veteran of World War II having served with the 952st Battalion, Battery B Field Artillery in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Ardiennes. He received four bronze stars and a Purple Heart. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 225 in Upper Sandusky, Wyandot Co., Ohio. He was a life member of the VFW Post 2842 and served as junior vice commander in 1987 and senior vice commander in 1988. He was also a life member of the Amvets Post 777. He served on many honor guards and color guards, considering it his honor and duty to do so. He loved his country and considered it a privilege to serve in the armed forces. He passed away on April 18, 2002 on his 77th birthday.
