Benton Everett Carl and his bride, Clara Alwida Scott married either in the Harrisonville, Ohio church or on her parents's farm. They settled down in Meigs County, Ohio where they farmed.
They had two daughters, Helen Irene and Hazel. Benton is buried at the Beech Grove Cemetery near Pomeroy, and presumably Clar is also.
