This is my gr-grandfather, John Wesley Nelson, nicknamed "Wes". He was born Oct 12 1874 in (probably Louisa) Lawrence Co Ky, but lived most of his life in (Paintsville & West Van Lear) Johnson Co Ky (just down the road). In 1893 he married Malisa Caldonia Martin (born Feb 22 1878 Knott Co Ky) and they had a family of 10 children. Malisa Caldonia died in 1953 and Wesley married Bessie Harmon, a widow of Taulbee Harmon, and they stayed together for another 17 yrs! If you know anything about Wesley Nelson's parents (Isaac & Susann Lynns Nelson), please get in touch with me! I believe they may have lived in Lawrence Co Ky, but I don't know where they were born, etc.
