Description : John Sheeks Marley served in the Navy during World War I as Chief Warrant Officer and Aviation Machinist at the Great Lakes Naval Base near Chicago, then was commissioned an Ensign and went to Columbia University, New York City, to help write the text book on the liberty engine.
