Kathleen Louella Jacobs & Her Two Gold Medals

|
Description : This is Kathleen the day she graduated from Woodland College in Independence, Missouri, and how she looked when Albert Sigel Marley first saw her. A friend of his had invited him to accompany him to the ceremony. Kathleen aka Cassie had gotten the two gold medals she is wearing for spelling and math, and sang a duet, possibly playing the piano as well, impressing Albert because the Marleys valued education. Kathleen's older sister went to Christian College in Columbia, Missouri. Their parents, though more social with southern attitudes, also valued education.
Kathleen & Albert married 13 June 1889 in Clarence, Shelby County, Missouri, and in time had three children.
